Even before brain research established a positive link between music and learning, teachers have taught the alphabet and other academic concepts through song. Research has shown that with the use of music, every part of the brain is activated in some way. Strong research supports the value of music in education where both cognitive and non-academic benefits are evident. The purpose of this presentation is to examine the research and impact that music can have on physical activity and learning. |
