Providing Support for a Walkable/Bikeable Community
StructureCommunity
DescriptionPeople spend an average of 73 minutes driving in a car with less than 6% of their trips made by walking or biking. Mounting evidence suggests that community design is an important element in combating these statistics. This presentation will describe how community design is an important element in the health, safety, and economy of a community. In addition, resources will be provided to help persuade your community to “build” a more walkable and bikeable community.
