Learn Easy Angling Teaching Techniques through the National School Fly Fishing Education Program
StructureCouncil for Adventure and Outdoor Education/Recreation
DescriptionDuring this exciting workshop, physical educators will learn how easy it is to teach fly fishing in their schools, and how to develop cross curricular components that are meaningful and can help make a difference. By using the Family Tyes ™ pedagogy, refined by 25 years of classroom use, the instructional team will help participants break down the perception that fly fishing is too elitist and difficult. They will also demonstrate an educational process with simple progressions that can be learned and taught by all educators so they can better deliver grade-appropriate adventure/outdoor education that meets NASPE standards.
