DescriptionLearn how Health and Physical Education teachers, School Nurses, Counselors, Psychologists, Parent Teachers Organizations (PTA’s), Nutrition Educators and Food Services and After-School Recreation Program staff can form a powerful professional learning community (PLC) alliance. Working collaboratively, drive improvement in school health policy, health and physical education curriculum, before, during and after school physical activity programming, environmental change, student cognitive and academic performance, funding and community support. The Health PLC brings marginalized teachers and staff to the school leadership table armed with student data, prevention and interventions tools that are key to improving student academic performance across the socio-economic range.
