Sport Management Internships: What Protection Do You Use?
Structure | Sport Management Council
Description | Sport management internship programs require accountability from employers, students, and institutions. Although internship agreements often inform students and employers of financial responsibilities and risks in case of on-the-job injuries, occasions can arise that put the intern, teacher and institution in potential jeopardy. Planning for worst-case scenarios should be part of an internship program’s accountability efforts. The focus of this highly interactive session will benefit attendees with an exchange of insights regarding the types of proactive protection sport management internship supervisors may utilize. Information regarding the development of an internship manual will also be discussed in this program.
