Description | The aim of this activity and application oriented symposium is to introduce the concept of “Evidence-Based Practice” and its relevance to HPERD professionals, and to demonstrate exercises for working with older adults with a diagnosis of “frailty” and/or Parkinson’s disease from the perspective of a practitioner who runs community-based exercise programs for frail older adults. The symposium will summarize the current evidence base on the effectiveness of exercise interventions for older adults with a diagnosis of “frailty” and/or Parkinson’s disease. Intended audience: HPERD practitioners working with older adults in community-based settings; administrators; consumers. |
