StructureMeasurement
DescriptionIn 1987, Spray introduced the concept of computerized adaptive testing (CAT) to the field of kinesiology and physical education. Except for a few exploratory attempts, CAT has been ignored by the field. The purpose of this symposium is to provide a CAT update, including its basic concept, key components, advantages and disadvantages, development and implement procedures, successful application examples, and future directions with an emphasis on the potential of CAT to solve critical measurement problems in the field
