| Successful School Health Strategies from Two States |

| Description | Research from Lifelines and twelve pilot high school sites in Maine shows that school administrators, faculty, staff and student peers who came into contact with at-risk youth can more readily identify them, provide an appropriate initial response to them, know how to obtain help for them and are consistently inclined to take such action. In the second presentation a collaboration in New York State gave meaning to health education based upon research in curriculum development and research-based best practices in pedagogy, the collaboration yielded a guidance document for educators to shift and improve their delivery and assessment of health education. |
