The purpose of this session is to provide a framework for individuals who wish to advocate for teaching personal and social responsibility. A range of policies, standards and guidelines related to health, education, and sport align with and support responsibility-based objectives in youth physical activity programs. Attendees will benefit from learning strategies to overcome resistance and garner support for such objectives in the current policy environment. Applications in school and community settings will be discussed. (CEU)
