Mental fitness in high performance means that the mind-body connection is strengthened and the mental processes become a crucial aspect of training. This program will (1) introduce mental training tools to use in conjunction with physical training, (2) provide an example of mental training in rowing, and (3) discuss strategies to enhance observation, feedback and acknowledgement to athletes. Participants will be able to incorporate breathing techniques and mental training tools to elevate performance. (CEU)
