Orienteering is a popular outdoor education activity for middle/high school programs, but for younger students it is not as common. String Orienteering provides a way to introduce orienteering to a younger audience. The purpose of this session is to provide an introduction to string orienteering and how to teach it. We will discuss benefits of the activity, suitable age groups, implementation and assessment strategies. Participants will then experience a string orienteering course first hand. (CEU)
