Top organizational leaders from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), AAHPERD and the Taylor Hooton Foundation come together to unpack the National Standards for Sport Coaches domains 3 & 4 to teach coaches all they need to know about physical conditioning and positive athlete growth and development. Attendees will learn why and how to integrate research-based strength and conditioning protocols in order to help athletes develop not only physical skills but cognitive, social, emotional and intellectual qualities as well. Attendees will get hands on and apply knowledge learned throughout this program to create a strength and conditioning program for their own program using a template created by the presenter. Attendees will also get a firsthand look at the prevalence of steroid use at the middle and high school level, as well as learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of steroid use and effectively intervene in a way that supports the athlete, team and program. This program is sponsored by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
