Members of Illinois AHPERD will speak to the importance of building a strong organization using advocacy as the base. Topics covered will include: (1) enhanced PE Task Force (putting the neuroscience into the standards), (2) building a strong, active membership (including "active" professionals, retirees and "future" professionals), (3) having a presence at the state capitol, and (4) building relationships with outside organizations.
