This session will outline several innovative teaching activities and strategies for teaching physical education to a diverse K-12 student population for practicing and future teachers. Teaching practices related to teacher culture/background and school context, cooperative games, unique assessments for diversity outcomes, professional demeanor, acknowledging stereotypes, physical activity for students with disabilities, dance and creative movement, and integrating STEM into physical education will be discussed.
