In the recent New York ruling for the interns, the judge followed a six-part test outlined by the labor department for determining whether an internship can be unpaid. This presentation will identify the application of the six-part test, outlined by the U.S Labor Department, to sport management students. This presentation will provide insights as to what the cultural, philosophical, and legal paradigm shifts may be in order to better provide an internship experience. (CEU)
