The Science, PE, & Me! curriculum for 3rd- 5th grades was funded by an NIH grant and tested in 30 urban elementary schools. The PE and Science standards-based curriculum significantly increased student learning of fitness knowledge concepts in 90 physically active lessons. The secret to this success is the detailed teachers manual lessons carefully sequenced in three units and based on the 5Es learning cycle strategy. (CEU)
