Developing appropriate assessments to address both the "Describe" and "Apply" portions of NASPE PETE Standard #1 is a difficult task. Assessing candidate knowledge of scientific and theoretical knowledge of the discipline and ability to apply to physical education is important for all PETE programs. A current lead reviewer will "Describe, Apply (and Demonstrate)" how to help you and your Exercise Science colleagues create appropriate assessments of candidate performance aligned to NASPE PETE Standard #1.
