Nobel Charter Middle School is a large urban middle school in the Los Angeles Unified School District with a student population of 2,400 students and nine physical education teachers. Participants will learn about the process these teachers are using to facilitate this physical education department’s revamping of a sports-based model into a content standards-based curriculum using the International Baccalaureate approach to curriculum mapping and unit planning design. Example units and common assessments will be shared. (CEU)
